Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
The Z Club is an invite-only community based in Surat, Gujarat, India. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it short and we only collect what we need to run the club.
Questions? Email us at crew@thezclub.in.
What we collect
When you request an invite
- Your name and email address (required)
- Phone number, age, city and Instagram handle (if you add them)
- The interests you pick and the event you asked about, if any
- Your IP address, which we use to block spam and abuse
When you join the newsletter
- Your email address
- The page you signed up from
When your invite is approved
We create a member account with your name and email address. You set your own password using the secure link we email you. We never see your password.
Automatically
Like every website, our hosting provider’s servers record basic technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open. We use it only to keep the site running and secure. To stop spam, our forms keep a short-lived count of submissions per IP address. That count is deleted automatically within an hour.
Why we use it
- To review your invite request and get back to you
- To tell you about events, invite windows and club updates you asked for
- To send the weekly newsletter, if you signed up
- To set up and manage your member account
- To protect the site and our members from spam, bots and abuse
We use your data because you gave it to us for these purposes (your consent), and to keep the site secure. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress sets login cookies only if you sign in as a member. They are needed for the login to work.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the site:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database.
- Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that form submissions come from a real person. When you use a form, Google receives information about your device and how you use the page. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms.
- Google Fonts, which delivers the site’s fonts. Your browser connects to Google to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.
- Email delivery, used to send you emails such as invite updates, your welcome email and the newsletter.
We may also share data if the law requires it, for example to respond to a valid legal request.
Links to our Instagram, YouTube and other social profiles take you to those platforms. Their own privacy policies apply there.
How long we keep it
- Invite requests: until we’ve reviewed them. Requests we don’t approve are deleted within 12 months.
- Member accounts: for as long as you’re a member. Ask us and we’ll delete your account.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or update it
- Ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time (this won’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it)
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you
Email crew@thezclub.in and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can contact the Data Protection Board of India.
Age
You need to be at least 18 to request an invite or join the newsletter. If you’re under 18, please don’t send us your details. If we learn that we hold data from someone under 18, we’ll delete it.
Keeping it safe
We use HTTPS encryption, spam and bot protection, and restricted admin access. Only the club team can see invite requests and the newsletter list. No website is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll let members know by email.
